I'm sharing McDonald's latest special item, the Coconut Twirl Cone, a fusion food inspired by Singapore's National Day 2024. It is a dessert that is exquisitely simple, yet its aftertaste is sweet, wonderful, and homely (especially considering its affordable price of $1.20). The balanced ratio of coconut to vanilla ice cream base makes it hit the right spot with a smooth, velvety texture. It is neither too rich nor too sweet. Coupled with its refreshing chill, it is just perfect compensation for warm summer afternoons.

Cold and dry. Service was fast during the lunch crowd. Even though I got my food within 10 minutes of ordering, I was shocked that the food was really dry and over-fried. Both fries and nuggets were dry and hard to chew. And the fries were too salty. See photos.

I accidentally dropped my wallet while having afternoon tea at this McDonald’s and didn’t realize it until much later. Needless to say, I was anxious and panicked. To my surprise, the staff had already picked it up and even called me to let me know they found it. By the time I rushed back, it was already after their work hours, but an auntie and an uncle were still waiting for me. The auntie carefully verified my name and handed the wallet back. They refused to accept any tip and simply told me to double-check everything was intact; every card and bit of cash was still there. They didn’t even tell me their names, but I want to leave this review to express my deepest thanks. The team at this branch is incredibly kind, honest, and caring. It’s not just about the food here; it’s about the people. I highly recommend visiting this McDonald’s, and please don’t be careless like I was!
