Ordered the Abalone stew, Seafood Ramyeon, and Naengmyeon. Clam meat in their stew and soup was powdery and unpleasant to eat. Abalone was tough and had little flavor compared to other authentic Korean restaurants we had tried. Banchan were better tasting compared to the mains ordered.

The day my friend and I went, there was a group of Korean tourists, and no BBQ was available because it was reserved for them. I wanted to try their marinated crab, so I ordered a meal. The salmon cut was great, but the rice somehow didn't taste that good. The marinated crab came with prawns too; both tasted very sticky, similar to school glue in texture, and the crab didn't taste marinated (the sauce was only drizzled on top). We also ordered Bossam, which was decent. Side dishes are refillable, but their quality was only acceptable.

We came to try the Eel Buffet with a friend. The buffet includes pork belly, pork collar, and prawns. We tried them all, and it didn't disappoint. It was my first time trying the BBQ eel, and it was nice that it came unseasoned, allowing us to taste the fresh eel. It came with accompanying sauces that went well with it. The pork collar and belly were also superb on their own. Thick-cut and lightly marinated, they were perfect with the gochujang sauce, garlic, and fresh greens. And the salted sesame oil dip was fantastic too!
We came right after lunch hour and were lucky to be served by friendly staff member Ming Ming, who took the trouble to teach us how to BBQ and which sauce to pair with each item.
Overall, it was a nice experience, and oh, you must definitely order the Pi Jyeong Makgeoli!

An excellent value-for-money restaurant! The sashimi set for four people has a lot of food. It can feed up to six people. The food never stopped coming, and its abundance will surprise you.
My favorite was the flat fish sashimi, which was so yummy! My friends liked the unagi, salmon sashimi, and raw crab. Their kalbi was also very good.
The final stew and sashimi rice were a nice, refreshing end to the whole meal. We were completely stuffed when we left.

Here's the edited review:
We had dinner on a weekday evening. The **servings** were big. The Korean BBQ pork set for 2 **was** good enough to feed **three people**. The kids enjoyed it. We **found** the marinated raw crab was **okay**, but it was a good experience to try. The BBQ pork **intestines** were good. **Staff** were friendly and service was fast. Restaurant was spacious and organised. A good **dining** experience.

The food was decent for the price point. The marinated crab was tasty, and the stew flavor was rich and sweet enough with a generous portion of tofu and beef. The staff was really friendly and offered to crack the egg.

The Ganjang Gejang Lunch Set offers good value for money and a good portion size. It also comes with 2 pieces of marinated raw prawn and 2 pieces of salmon. Eating crab requires effort, but it's well worth it once accomplished, so avoid it if you’re lazy.
Update: Our dinner, the Flatfish Set for 2, was amazing! It offered such great value with its variety of foods. We would definitely return!

I came with my friend after seeing all the reviews and was not disappointed! Enjoyed the marinated crab. The spicy cold noodles were enjoyable but not very spicy.

My friend and I had the (S) Yellowtail + Flat Fish Sashimi set for dinner on January 31st. For $180, it is definitely worth every penny.
The food is plentiful and fresh. My favourites are the fish stew and the yellowtail sashimi. The soup is flavourful, and the sashimi was so fresh it transported me back to Korea when I had sashimi at Noryangjin Fish Market.
Would be back again to try their BBQ menu!

Overall, the food was good and service was prompt. However, we ordered the spicy seafood stew and were told there was NO soup refill. Because apparently, the free refill soup is a different flavor. So, do not order the seafood stew if you want a refill.
Also, it would be better if the chef could cut away the spiky part of the marinated crab shown in the picture. It was very sharp and poked all of our mouths, and even broke the gloves.
The flatfish bibimbap was meh. Kimchi was good. Marinated salmon was good. Bossam was normal; it would be better if the cut were thinner, as it was quite chewy and tough. Cold noodles were good!

We visited the restaurant on February 14th around 7:30 PM. Despite it being a full house, service and attentiveness were top-notch.
We had the sashimi set for two people, and boy, it could easily have fed four people!
Everything was fresh and delicious, and you'll be spoilt for choice with what to eat next from your table.
However, I would humbly suggest the option to select what we want from the set prior to serving instead of having everything, as this resulted in some food wastage.
너무 맛있어요, 잘먹었습니다 ~

The soy milk noodles are delicious, thick, and nutty, with chewy noodles. The spicy beef soup is yummy too. They serve nice, fresh kimchi.
Their marinated crab is too salty. The one we had in Jeju had a nice balance of saltiness and the sweetness of the crab, which I can't taste here. At $30 for one crab, it's not worth it.
The salmon sashimi has some parts that are near the skin and tough, so it's not the soft and fatty type. This cost $50 for 17 slices. I didn't like it; I prefer Japanese sashimi slices instead.
I will be back to try their other soups next time.

Frequent diner at both branches. A place to go if you crave authentic and decent Korean dishes. It offers individual sets and options for sharing with family or in a group. We spent a lot more money this visit for a celebratory dinner. We ordered the 4-person BBQ set (comes with a well-marbled steak, beef short ribs, pork belly, sausages, fresh eel, and kimchi soup), a flatfish sashimi platter, and a bowl of our favourite Raw Fish Cold Noodles. Fresh and delicious. Will definitely return for more.

It was our first visit to Pohang Seafood & Butchery. We had All-You-Can-Eat lunch, and it was truly a good deal, particularly because its spicy crab stew and soy-marinated raw crabs were very fresh. In addition, the portions were very generous. We were mainly served by Chris, who was diligent, efficient, polite, and customer-focused. Thank you, Pohang Seafood & Butchery, for serving such authentic, yummy Korean dishes at such an affordable price. We would definitely return to try your other dishes!

Will be back for the sashimi bibimbap!
The dishes we tried were generally quite tasty and very generous, with lots of extra sides. For example, there’s miyukguk (Korean seaweed/kelp soup) served with the crab lunch set and sashimi bibimbap. And a small fish with the abalone stew, I think.
I enjoyed the sashimi bibimbap the most! It's meant to be mixed with rice and a vinegary, sweet red sauce. The perilla leaves were a nice touch, really uplifted the dish for me with that unique plummy-minty taste, though it's probably an acquired taste for others as my friend did not enjoy it.
Instead, they enjoyed the raw crab, which was somewhat funky-tasting for me. The crab set also included 2 raw prawns and 2 slices of raw salmon – great value with the soup and rice with seaweed. Again, this was another acquired taste dish.
We deliberately skipped their massive set meals (priced from $170 to $300 and up) as there were only three of us. So we only ordered 4 dishes but still couldn’t finish everything. Had to take away half a seafood pancake, a bowl of rice, and some banchan.
The staff was nice enough to readily accommodate our request for containers to take away the leftovers.
They also have a sashimi cold noodle soup which seems especially appealing in this hot weather. Will return to try that and other interesting seafood dishes on their extensive menu!
