We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Support Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of critical infrastructure across our Data Centre and Command Centre environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing facilities, enforcing operational protocols, and ensuring system reliability and security compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise overall maintenance activities and ensure alignment with scheduled maintenance plans.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure facilities are operating at peak performance, safety, and reliability.
- Respond promptly to system incidents, service interruptions, and alarms to minimize operational impact.
- Enforce stringent physical and cyber security measures to prevent unauthorized access or security breaches.
- Maintain accurate records of facility assets, including network port allocations, hardware deployments, and configuration updates
- Generate regular reports on Data Centre and operations performance metrics.
- Support integration, troubleshooting, and smooth operation of critical infrastructure components.
- Provide timely updates on operational and maintenance activities to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities to minimise downtime and user disruption during scheduled works.
- Manage EUCD refresh programs including replacement of faulty or end-of-life devices.
- Oversee provisioning and de-provisioning processes in alignment with security and operational guidelines.
- Process and fulfil operational service requests including:
- Physical access clearances
- Equipment movements
- Logistics and delivery coordination
Requirements & Qualifications
- ITE/Diploma in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Data Centre and/or Operations Centre
- High integrity, sense of responsibility, and strong team orientation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual proficiency preferred
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to operational incidents
