Network, Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert, primarily responsible consulting with the client and working with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for complex solutions that address the clients’ needs.

Experienced in solution design of Network using Cisco ACI and presales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
• Identifies and evaluates alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability.
• Produces specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces, for translation into detailed designs using selected services and products.
• Supports a change programme or project through the preparation of technical plans and application of design principles that comply with enterprise and solution architecture standards.
• Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
• Monitors the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies.
• Creates reports and technology roadmaps and shares knowledge and insights with others.
• Designs components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns and methodology.
• Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders of the architecture and to handle both functional and non-functional requirements, including proof of concept (POC).
• Reviews, verifies and improves own designs against specifications.
• Contribute to the development of new go to market services and contributes knowledge on relevant verticals.
• Operates across both the technical levels within the enterprise architecture and the value chain in order to develop holistic and integrated solutions.

Required Skills:

The appropriate candidate will play a key role in the Clients Network , Go To Market (GTM) program, focused on the largest, high touch accounts in Singapore.

The individual will be required to rapidly engage with the key Contacts within the End User Accounts, and Projects assigned, to establish credibility, to build and nurture relationships based on expertise and demonstrable value.

The Solutions Architect will support to frontline Sales and Technical Pre-sales to facilitate Client engagement, solution and service design.

Primary activities would range from Solution Design, Client Presentations, Proposal Preparations, RFP and Tender Bid Responses.

Outline technical architecture descriptions across domains, functions, and industries, then monitoring and governing the implementation.

Take responsibility for the overall technical design and build of the custom elements of the solution.

Be responsible for solution design, business development, and transition of projects from presales to delivery, and sales support.

Work with Solutions Architects to produce a technical specification for the custom development and systems integration requirements for the solution.

Participate or lead in scope of work determination, product pricing and RFP/RFI responses.

Assist with the determination of outsourcing, product pricing and collaborates with the Client Manager to develop an implementation solution.

Influence and guide members of the Sales team and to ensure that they are equipped to close deals.

Manage client proof of concept (POC) initiatives, which will require the involvement of the appropriate resources, and setup and delivery of the POC.

Perform a variety of tasks that will directly impact opportunity pursuit and realisation.

Educational Skills:

Typically requires demonstrable related experience with a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree; or moderate level experience and a Master’s or equivalent degree; or a PhD or equivalent degree without experience; or equivalent work experience

Technical Skills:

Technical knowledge of multiple network and security platforms to include:

SDN DC Networking: CISCO ACI, VMWARE NSX technologies.

DC Networking: Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K series switches

Cloud Managed Networking: Cisco Meraki

SD-WAN: Good understanding on Cisco Meraki, Silverpeak, CATO Networks, Viptela

Load balancer: F5 (LTM, ASM, APM, SSO), AVI, Citrix

Wireless Network: Cisco, Aruba, Juniper MIST, Cisco Meraki

Firewalls: Cisco ASA, Firepower, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and VPN terminologies

2FA solutions: Cisco DUO

DC protocols: VXLAN, Fabric path, VPC, VDC, OTV

Strong knowledge in TCL programming in Cisco platform devices

VPN: IPSEC, Remote access, Agentless

Understanding on Brocade and Alcatel switches

CISCO Prime infrastructure & SolarWinds

Aruba ClearPass NAC and understanding on Cisco SDA technologies

Cisco Switches: 2900, 4500, 6500 and 6800 ,9000 series.

Cisco Routers: 1800, 2800, 3800, 4500 and ASR series

Static Routing, OSPF, BGP.

Policy Based Routing PBR, Route Filtering, Redistribution.

STP, HSRP, VSS, CDP and VPN

Compensation components : Base Salary , Monthly fixed allowances ( 1000 SGD TA+ 300 SGD Fuel) and Variable Bonus 20% of Annual Base.
