Legal Advisor

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provides basic legal support on simple engagements and transactions under the supervision of a Legal Adviser or Legal Manager

- Reviews and provides general advice on simple standard agreements such as confidentiality agreements and intercompany agreements or simple legal issues

- May make minor customizations to legal terms and conditions in simple standard agreements

- May support a Legal Adviser or Legal Manager on legal engagements and transactions

- Develops simple programs and procedures to administer legal policies or help senior legal advisers or legal managers to do so

- Helps to implement specific legal operations

- Prepares legal reports on the status of legal matters based on instructions and templates

- Performs such other legal or semi-legal work as may be assigned and supervised by the Senior Legal Advisor/Legal Manager

Knowledge and Attributes:

- Possesses legal skillsets and some experience within a specific functional area or legal discipline, in organizations of similar scale and complexity.

- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain good stakeholder relationships.

- Good commercial acumen and skilled at providing advice and legal solutions.

- Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.

- Ability to work in high-pressure situations.

- Ability to manage complex tasks simultaneously.

- Ability to converse in Japanese language is highly advantage to collaborating with stakeholders

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law.

Required experience:

- Seasoned demonstrated experience in a similar role within a similar Global High Tech Organization.

- Seasoned demonstrable success in providing sound legal advice and support.
