Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Full Stack Software Engineer to join our development team working on high-impact, government-facing applications such as SearchSG. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong emphasis on AWS cloud services, serverless architecture, and building scalable applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Stack Development

• Design, build, and maintain modern web applications using Next.js, React, and Node.js with TypeScript
• Develop secure, scalable APIs and microservices for search, feedback, analytics, and indexing functionalities
• Implement and optimize front-end user experiences and back-end services for government agencies

Cloud & DevOps Integration

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS using Serverless Framework
• Set up and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and scheduled metric processing
• Support application scaling, deployment, and monitoring in a cloud-native environment

Analytics & Testing

• Implement A/B testing frameworks using AWS and former platforms like Google Optimize
• Integrate analytics pipelines (BigQuery, GitLab) to support performance tracking and user behavior analysis
• Maintain performance dashboards on web portals for agency stakeholders

Search Intelligence & NLP

• Develop and enhance features such as Smart FAQs, using content extraction and NLP for search optimization
• Work on search-based solutions integrated into high-traffic government portals (e.g., MOM, IRAS, CPF)

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with designers, QA, DevOps, and project managers in iterative product development
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience in full stack development with production-level deployment
• Strong proficiency in:
  • TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js
  • React, Next.js
  • AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS
• Experience with:
  • Serverless Framework
  • GitLab CI/CD
  • SQL/NoSQL databases
