Contract _Senior QA Engineer / Financial Domain Test Automation Specialist

12 months contract with NTT DATA Singapore .

Role Overview:

10+ years of QA experience . Atleast 5 + years of financial services or banking domain with a strong understanding of financial instruments, reference data, and trade lifecycle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable API test automation frameworks using Rest Assured, TestNG, and BDD with Cucumber to validate complex financial workflows.

• Implement secure test frameworks that integrate with encryption services such as ENaaS (Encryption-as-a-Service) to ensure the protection of sensitive data across environments.

• Automate high-volume test scenarios (e.g., 350+ authorization use cases) with robust scripting and logging, improving regression reliability and execution efficiency.

• Develop and maintain Jenkins-based healthcheck automation pipelines, integrating custom HTML email alerts for SIT and UAT to proactively notify stakeholders of system health.

• Customize Extent Reports to support hyperlinked JSON request/response views and detailed test metrics for improved traceability.

• Collaborate with business and QA teams to translate complex requirements into reusable automated test cases and support CI/CD pipelines across development and release environments.

• Integrate JIRA Zephyr to streamline test execution tracking, reporting, and defect life cycle management.

• Drive performance and reliability testing in collaboration with engineering, using tools like JMeter or similar frameworks.

• Ensure alignment with Agile development practices, contributing to continuous quality and early defect detection in sprints.

• Support BAU QA activities, including production issue validation, test data setup, and environment health diagnostics.

Required Skillset (Must Have):

• 10+ years of QA experience . Atleast 5 + years of financial services or banking domain with a strong understanding of financial instruments, reference data, and trade lifecycle systems.

• Proven experience in API test automation using Rest Assured, TestNG, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber.

• Expertise in JSON validation, SQL scripting, and backend data verification.

• Strong scripting skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript for building automation and utility scripts.

• Experience integrating encryption workflows (e.g., ENaaS) for testing secure data paths.

• Deep understanding of CI/CD practices, especially pipeline scripting and test automation with Jenkins.

• Proficient in customizing reports using Extent Reports and logging with Log4j.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or similar.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Zephyr, and Agile/Scrum-based delivery models.

• Hands-on experience with Git for version control and collaborative code maintenance.

• Exposure to market data systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and regulatory/compliance testing.

• Working knowledge of containerized environments like OpenShift or Docker.

• Demonstrated contribution to high-impact or award-winning QA initiatives in the financial domain.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
