M & E Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all M&E works across assigned projects.
• Specialise in clean room construction including commissioning of clean room utilises system.
• Specialise in bio-hazard lab construction including commissioning of all relevant supporting services.
• Review and manage M&E designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth integration of M&E services with architectural and structural works.
• Monitor progress, quality, and budget of M&E packages and report regularly to senior management.
• Conduct technical evaluations of subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
• Manage delivery of M&E materials and equipment in collaboration with the procurement team.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Provide technical support and resolve on-site issues related to M&E systems.
• Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Support in the handover and commissioning process, ensuring proper documentation and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
• 4 to10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of M&E systems design, installation, and commissioning including clean room and bio-hazard lab environments.
• Familiarity with building codes, health & safety regulations, and international standards
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in relevant software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project, etc.).
• Able to communicate in Japanese language (to handle queries and feedbacks from Japanese speaking associates/ clients)
